Here is a belated post about New York City. We were there for one week and stayed in the VERY BRIGHT Candy Hostel:
We've covered some of the most important parts of NY culture, including:
- Eating bagels and drinking tonnes of coffee
- Nearly getting run over by yellow taxis'
- Party times on a Brooklyn rooftop
- Eating Pizza at John's Pizzeria on Bleecker St. Frequented by Johnny Depp and Vanilla Ice (Ice baby)
- Sailing past the statue of liberty - it's the blurry green bit
- Hanging out with a Bull on Wall St
- Climbed the Rockefella and took a sneaky peek off the top
- Fake reading in Bryant Park
- Culturing ourselves at the MoMa and American Folk Art Museum
- Repping Year of Birth in East Village
- Walking the never-ending Central Park
Coney Island is the best place in the entire world. Largely derelict, a rickety fairground from the 1950's and home to the Hotdog eating championship. Anyone heading to NY should definitely head to Coney Island. There's a beach too.
Coney Island quote of the day: "Hey guys, why are you holding hands when you could be holding guns?"
Peace xxx
