Atlanta, Georgia

We went to Atlanta, where the buildings are designed for hamsters.

Paul's family had already claimed their stake of the city.

We hung out with some penguins at the "worlds largest" aquarium.

And the most beautiful whales in the world, the Belugas.  The lump on its head is called a melon and it doesn't look stupid what so ever.

Katie and some colourful fishies

We had a free breakfast at the hotel (Pork gravy)

Final Thought: Lots of weird buildings, not many people; Atlanta was big in the nineties. Hot.

Washington D.C, Virginia

We hung out around the White House, and met the presidential squirrel. Possibly a squirrel spy. See if you can spot the man with gun on the roof:
Paul had a bit of a growth spurt by the Washington Memorial.
Where's Katie?
Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

Washington is full of museums and memorials, all free. Lot's of fat tourists and Georgetown was busy with a half mile queue for a cupcake shop.

Laters Potatoes xoxox

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Philadelphia was very good. Especially for random statues.

The museums and galleries are pretty sweet. And we bumped into these lovely folk, ate awesome vegan food and drank beers the size of our heads. Special guest: Elle!

Montreal, Quebec, Canada

We arrived at our hostel in Montreal which was a very interesting (questionable) place. The next day for some unknown reason the owners offered us a apartment complete with our own garden, kitchen, & bathroom. Beats a windowless cupboard.

It's the end of Summer in Montreal, and people are clearly making the most of this before the severe winter hits - the parks and streets are constantly busy. We're staying in the French quarter with all the Frenchies, tres bien.

Thursday was our friend Albane's Birthday. BON ANNIVERSAIRE!
To celebrate we drank some vin blancs and visited Vincent, Fabrice, Xuan and Adrian. As there was a quite large language barrier we immediately joined together in singing English songs. Xuan & Adrian on guitar, and Fabrice on rice box.

Frog stool.

Jars of mojito

Birthday girl!

The wonderful Xuan "like the animal...a swan" cue hand movement.

Recruiting some Liverpool fans

We visited Old Montreal, it was refreshing to be somewhere remotely historical.

View of Montreal from Mount Royal

Raccoon.

The hover-crane

St Joseph Oratory. 278 steps. Some Catholics still visit the Oratory and climb the steps on their knees in order to gain divine pardon.

Sunset from the Oratory.

We leave Canada tomorrow and head back to New York. Bring on the 11 hour train journey.

Toronto, Ontario, CANADA

We stayed in China Town, Toronto. Above is our front door. On the back of the front door was some cat wrapping paper. True class.
We watched the blue jays lose against the yankees (boo). However, they lost successfully.

Katie on a small day.

Kensington Market: hippie-ville

Drinking (and exercising) with Zach's Canadian buddies.
$3 beer bar
ZACHARY TRIUMPHS. Food (poutine?) in hand.

Views of Toronto from the CN tower
Glass floor (can hold 14 fully grown hippos/Americans)
Shooting pool at Zach's

Niagara Falls. It may look as though we photoshopped the boat and double rainbow but we didn't. Just naturally skilled at taking postcard-perfect pictures.

God Bless Canada. And Zach (as in saved by the bell) for Canadian hospitality, beer, trailer park boys, pizza and POUTINE - it's the Canadian national dish: Fries, cheese curds and gravy. Lovely stuff.

So long Toronto xxx
